If you’re experiencing symptoms of eye strain, dry eyes or any kind of change in your vision, make an appointment with us today.

We provide a range of services from diagnostic screening to digital retinal photography to thoroughly investigate your eye health. Even if you’re not currently experiencing any symptoms, it’s a good idea to have regular eye check ups to monitor the condition of your eyes.

Or if you’re simply in need of some new frames, we have a huge selection to choose from and plenty of expert help on hand to help you make the right choice.

Bulk-Billed Eye Testing

All of our eye tests are bulk-billed through Medicare. Together, we’ll sit down and have a chat with you about your eye health and take the time needed to listen and understand your medical history and experiences.

As part of our comprehensive eye exams, our expert team can:

Screen for glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration.
Diagnose and treat dry eye conditions.
Carry out driving vision field tests.
Take digital retinal photographs (these incur a small additional cost).
Keep excellent records to monitor your eye health.

Victorian Eyecare Service

Akers Eyewear are proud partners with The Victorian Eyecare Service (VES), a national government-funded service eligible to all Health Care and Pension Card holders in regional and rural Victoria. VES subsidises the price of selected frame and lens packages, making your eye care even more affordable.

DVA Optical Services

As a registered service provider with the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), we provide a range of health care optical services for veterans holding a Gold or White Card. Come in and have a chat with us today about the services you’re eligible for.
